United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover SE Td6 Zermatt Silver

Thought I recognized that car its one I sold to Eugene a dutch FFRR forum member. I believe he was going to export it but then stored it at a friends house. I think it was exported in the end but not sure it was a very nice car. Shocked

Sold to Eugene in April 2014.

The photos in advert are at the house its was stored at so they could have been copied at that time or are being re-used in a genuine effort to sell. Hard to tell unless someone makes contact with Aldershot seller.

Its done 20,000 miles since I sold it in 2014.

The is a picture of this car on Ebajemas profile page:

I have sent an AT message to the seller.....

It could well be the friend that was storing it for Eugene bought it from him as Eugene was struggling to export it. Or is simply selling it for Eugene.

I'm guessing the auto trader advert will be genuine and the eBay one is fraud.

What was the reg Garry as the one the guy on eBay has provided is showing as being taxed and mot'd in which case the car is obviously still in this country?

The reg was the same as the reg on the car in the AT advert. Therefore the pictures could be old from when it was originally stored and briefly advertised or current genuine pictures no way to tell.

Actually they are current as the mileage shot is the current mileage so it looks genuine to me.

Yep it's the same reg he has provided on eBay as the auto trader advert.

It's currently showing as taxed and mot'd on dvla's website so the car must still be in the UK.

Yes I believe it stayed in the UK in the end as exporting to Kuala Lumpur was going to be too expensive.

I can confirm that the AutoTrader advert is 100% genuine and that the photographs were taken earlier this year, specifically for the advert. Eugene was unable to import the vehicle to Malaysia and has asked me to sell it on his behalf, the vehicle has been transferred into my name for this purpose. My girlfriend (Eugene’s wife’s cousin) made contact with Gary to confirm. We’ve been doing our best to stop scammers from reposting on Ebay - but this has proved quite difficult. We have also reported this to ActionFraud. Any suggestions as to how to deal with this would be welcome, as we believe it has impacted our ability to sell.
The vehicle is still for sale and test drivable from our home near Aldershot, if any advert claims otherwise, it is fraud.
Best wishes,
Peter and Laurian

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Hi all, yes, I'm still alive and yes I still own this FFRR. I am currently living in NZ and due to the import rules/cost here, decided to ask Pete and Laurian to sell the FFRR for me.

They have been taking care of it for a long time on my behalf.

The last time I drove it, was when we (my wife and our kids) were in the UK, mostly to see Pete and Laurian (who is indeed my wifes cousin AND our eldest daughters god mother AND the favourite aunt and uncle of our kids AND great friends of ours). So in short they are family and friends and doing me a great favour to try and sell the car.

The issue with the eBay BS is very unfortunate but the Autotrader ad is genuine and asking price on there is correct (15,999 at the time of writing this post 10 Jun 2019). I will probably drop the price a bit more soon but not much as the price is now coming to a point where it becomes profitable to import it into NZ and even with the cost and GST import duties I should be able to sell it here at a small profit (the price still has to drop a little for that to happen).

I bought this one through Gary and it has been brilliant. No issues with it whatsoever, it has had the brake line recall done quite some time ago now and it just keeps going. It has had normal service but it has also been in storage (SORN) for a long time (i.e. no service done on it). The service was done by independents but with top quality products, OEM filters etc. provided by me.

If you're looking for a really good FFRR, this would be a good choice. If I was still making a lot of money in Oil and Gas, the FFRR would be here in NZ and I would driving it. Unfortunately my income hasn't been what it used to be and therefore I decided to sell it, rather then spend a lot of money shipping it here and importing it.

I hope this helps clarifying the situation, for any queries/questions, feel free to contact me in PMs.

Cheers,
