This morning with a cold engine I was able to check the level without opening bonnet and doing the double cruise control click.

So I can check level when cold in morning without bonnet open or double clicking? Is that right?? Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Yes, that is the correct method to check the level., ie bonnet closed, but before starting the engine.

I check mine first thing in the morning whilst car is still in garage because my drive is on an incline and garage is only level area.
