Can’t be 100% sure but weren’t the badges featured on both the P6 and the MGBGT? There may have been others of course as the “Rover V8” was widely deployed, including of course in the RR Classic. 2016 SDV8 AB |

Yes, on the P6B and the MGBV8 though, oddly enough, they only built about 2,500 of those.

To paraphrase a recent book title, “my Dad had one of those”, that is a P6. His was a very late model 3500S, registered about 2 weeks before the SD1 hit the road officially in 1976. It sported those V8 badges on the boot lid and radio grille. As a teenage scally, I once prised the badge off a crashed P6 whilst it was waiting for recovery. Its probably still in a tin in my mum’s garage!
