Never assume the obvious!

While preparing the passenger door card for removal due to having one (or maybe 2) speakers buzzing I set about emptying the lower pocket. When I bought this one 6 months ago it came with a 'free' umbrella. I removed this, had a look in the pocket and saw nothing.

Decided to fire up the car and play something with a bit of bass to see if I could find the actual culprit while being closer to the door. Rattling away as it has for 6 months I couldn't actually decide which speaker it was. I tried pushing the door card in around the speakers to rule out a loose fitting etc. Nothing changed.

Stuck my hand in the pocket to push the bottom of the card in, 'buzzing continues'. Time to take off the door card. One final sweep with my hand in the lower pocket ... and what's this? I can feel something jammed into the corner near the lower speaker.

Shine my torch in and what do I see? A box of some sort. Finally get it out. It was a half full box of bloody drawing pins.

Guess what? Buzzing has stopped.

Cheap fix - but bloody hell - 6 months of putting up with buzzing on the bass Big Cry Land Rover Addict

Left there is it just tactlessness or tactful? Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
