just Washed!

Well I've had it a few days....and a quiet shift at work has allowed me to do a few things..
Washed, polished, leather cleaned, rear shelf jet washed Shocked ....then it was look at the issues...

- DVD sat nav unit...power to it...but dead
- No bluetooth module, upgraded part now ordered..
- sunroof drain holes checked...front left is clear! need to get some strimmer wire to poke through the others!
- front tow cover missing, part ordered.
- park sensors, work most of the time...occasionally just get a continous beep Censored not helpful!
- Rear headrest monitors installed....but as you can see from the boot, no RSE module, not even any cables for one! had a quick look and the cables running up to the monitors appear to have a positve, negative, ground and 2 what looks like oxy free speaker cable??? no idea whats going on there!!

Anyway here is some pics...

I have taken the sat nav out, all clean, no corrosion or signs of water ingress at pins, even took it apart and all looks ok inside too, there is power on the multiplug too.....can only assume it is totally f***ed!
I was expecting water damage as the connector for the missing bluetooth module has definte signs of water ingress (green residue, rusty looking pins), and when i washed the car....there was then water in that back corner too Big Cry

Well its been an interesting weekend, car went into local 4x4 garage on Wednesday to check for oil leak and sort suspension out....£1100 later Shocked He now has a new n/s rocker cover gasket, new front and rear wishbones and also new front anti-roll bar drop links and control arms!

Took the family out yesterday (wife hates the car and thinks its too big!) all was well, got home and drips of oil forming on the drive again Censored

Took engine cover off, appears one of the PCV hoses on the back of the engine that connects onto the n/s engine cover was waving around in the breeze!...now refitted, hopefully thats the oil leak sorted now!

She's gone......The love of the full fat didnt last.....I realised this is one of those cars you really have to LOVE to deal with the expense, thirst, size..etc etc, and for me the driving experience just didnt live up to the expectation.

Ah well, at least i can say i have owned one now.....
