Assume with the hybrid , this gives you more chance in London, but is your 6 miles slow london traffic or buzzing along?


Range angst..... is it true that there is a full electric coming with the new FFRR 2020/21 as an option... range to be 300 miles+ Something along the jaguar technology .

Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

No this is my country car - so buzzing along A roads at a decent lick.

I sent it back to have the warning light sorted and a couple of other things (wonky rear number plate - FFS).

They have lent me a red RRS HSE P400e. It is a decent little thing but lacks the class of the FFRR. I feel a bit conspicuous in it. My dogs don't like it either. The young one ran and jumped into the back. He promptly head-butted the rear seats - no tailgate flap to slow down his run!

Well a bit of an update. I haven't used it much, as someone rammed the side of my wife's car, so she used the Rangie for the weeks her car was off the road. And with the nice weather, I have been driving my fun car.

But, I continue to be impressed. It goes well. It is quiet until pushed really hard (which I rarely do). The stop/start is brilliant as the electric power takes you off - no lag like the SDV8. I am getting almost 60mpg from a mix of short journeys and the occasional long one. On motorways, the Adaptive Cruise and Keep Lane assist is very relaxing (and impressively competent). My wife got worse than that as she was doing longer journeys. Overall, in the first 1500 miles it is just under 50mpg.

Still finding odd faults - "global open" works and all the windows go down; "global close" leaves the rear passenger window down. The infotainment system doesn't like having the phone plugged in and can be a bit reluctant to start.
