DIY black pack

Evening all
Thanks for the help with my last question about red seats.
I really love the look of “black pack” in either the black, dark blue or dark grey RRs.
For some reason factory black packs cars are making a fortune.
Since I have mates that have an amazing history of re paints I’m considering getting a none black pack car and simply having the silver bits painted.
Has anybody done the same, is the grill identical just in black or should I look at buying a new black grill to get the same look.

Thanks in advance 2008 RRS HST - loved the car from 6 months old until a few years old
2009 Disco HSE - nice and practical alternative when I needed the space.
VW T5 Transporter - mid life crisis perhaps
2017 FFRR 4.4AB - best car I’ve ever owned

All the bits are removable - so provided you can get them painted reasonably quickly, there's certainly nothing wrong with that route.

I went the same route but decided to buy replacement black parts in case i ever wanted to go back to silver! (as that would be far harder to paint than the black)

I did it when I bought mine too - I bought the whole kit from sixonetwo (Hawke) and changed it all on my driveway - not difficult - just don't rush - the black kit was not much different to the price to paint the old stuff. Think about changing Range Rover badges at the same time too if they are anything less than perfect.

I used the Hawke grill too which came in the kit - that is possibly the only part which I might have considered with painting because it is slightly different in colour but not far off and probably only worth worrying about if you are seriously OCD - if I had the facilities I would do it - but it would be for minimal gain tbh.

Very pleased with mine and have the spares to keep or sell as Craig said. 2016 (L405) Autobiography in Black with Ivory - for ULEZ
2014 (L405) VSE in Black with Ivory
2011 (L322) VSE in Black with Ivory
2005 (3.2 V6) Porsche Cayenne in Black with Savanna
1999 (P38) VSE in Burgundy (?) with Sand

Thanks for all the advice. Finally managed to find a factory black pack car that ticked my boxes.

Are those wheels the 21” style 101’s ? Reason I ask is I have those wheels on mine in silver and was toying with swapping for 22’s. due to the fact the wife’s going to be using it kind of makes me think sticking to the 21”s might be the best idea. If this is what they look like in black on a black car I won’t hesitate to get them sprayed.

Yes they do. Either way they look like 21’s so might go for getting mine done in black.

I’ve been told they are 9001 wheels, I was initially disappointed since I wanted turbines.
I have to say the wheels look great in the flesh so won’t be worried about turbines
