Visiting Gaydon tomorrow

I get to take my new FFRR back to the place of it's birth tomorrow. Business trip only. The thing I found most interetimg on my last visit, was the journey from visitor centre car park to reception. The transfer shuttle travels past a closed off area, full of wrecked vehicles. Was heart breaking seeing the totalled astons!
I'll see if I can snap pics to share ( although IIRC I think they operate a no mobile device policy?) Gerry

Gerry, you are correct. Within the fenced compound are numerous crash tested Aston Martin and prototypes. It s prohibited to take photos inside the factory and I don't think AM will be too impressed if they see you taking pictures of the contents of the compound, but have fun trying. I drove round the back in my AM to try and sneak onto the test track but too many people around. Current MY2020

I just took a peek on google earth but they have even covered a number of vehicles pt prevent view from the air! Not that you get that much detail on Google earth but I guess its to stop sneaky chopper / microlight photo journos Smile 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

The cafe at the BMHC next door does good value lunches too - I always stop there on my drives to the south rather than being held to ransom at the Warwick Services just up the road. If you park in the main carpark and go up to the conference access you can enter the cafe and loos without having to pay entry to the museum (which I have also visited so many times with RRsport and D3 outings I don't think they need any more dosh from me!). I also fuel up at the Gaydon Esso filling station at the roundabout as it's usually 3-4p cheaper than on the motorway and certainly cheaper than fuelling up nearer to London or the New Forest 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

I would sooner have the BMHC benefit from my spending than Moto/BP/Marks and Spencer Only food who are already doing very nicely thank you! 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
