Front suspension

Looking for some wisdom.
What are the round electrical units on top of the front suspension legs and what do they do?
2012 4.4 tdv8.
Thanks in advance for any info.

you mean the wires coming out of the top of the suspension strut damper inside the engine compartment?

if so, its all part of the adaptive dynamic suspension...
