We have both MB and LR products in our household and I'm sure that you will enjoy the GLE albeit the GLS is more aligned to an L405 in terms of pecking order...

From my point of view i think iam. My autobiography was 3 and a half years old and still tumbling in value also out of warranty, so £10K gets me into a brand new model premium AMG SUV packed with the technology and reliability Land Rover can only dream of. I have done quite a lot of research on this model and all the signs and opinions say its a great leap forward. Agueroooooooooo. 93-20

I had a GLE for a month on hire while the FF was in for repair after an accident.

Well briefly back to the subject, I waited nearly 7 months for the Mercedes I ordered to be made in Alabama and shipped to the uk and I eventually I picked up in Leicester. After what seemed a lifetime, mostly without a car as I had sold the Autobiography months ago, the new adventure in my first Mercedes began. Its been a big learning curved because of the sheer amount of electronic gadgetry this car contains but I am getting my head around it now and all in all think I have done the right thing. Not that this GLE450 is a better car than the Range Rover it isn't it is totally different and the 2 cannot really be compared. No problems so far but only 2000 miles covered. Love the Designo Hyacinth red paint and the 22' wheels. It has what they call EQ boost which gives the car an extra electric kick up the backside during the time it takes for the turbo to spool up to speed so no lag. Virtual reality real time video overlays the satnav when you reach your next manouver so its nearly impossible to miss a turn. Incredible interior and exterior lighting that can be changed to any colour on request. Overall an incredible machine to own and drive........................but its not a Range Rover.

Nice looking car, well put together, I hope you enjoy it. But depreciation will be worse than a 405 I am afraid, that's if you can sell it.
