Ref my post about night mode after 19A update, all is now working perfectly!!

What I can't understand is that it suddenly started working yesterday without me doing anything. It's as if the software needs to "warm up" before it all works...most peculiar Rolling Eyes

Anyway, very happy now and I just hope it carries on that way!! All LR cars from 1984

Hi Chalky, I’ve got 19A installed now and I have the night/day satnav issue. Seems you can manually change to day mode but automatic not making that change..do you know how you resolved yours? 2017 Range Rover Vogue V6 Diesel

!!

Hi Jase

I spoke too soon!!

The day/ night resolved itself on its own, Gawd knows how but it did!

I've now got a satnav issue again where the map becomes replaced by instructions on how to use the Terrain response system...all very weird and very disconcerting when coming up to a series of roundabouts which you haven't been through before and the whole bloody thing goes off!!! Whistle

I've just got back from driving to Lincolnshire and back, and although it is a glorious car to drive the software once again is all over the place. It was fine for a couple of weeks (except for day/night/ auto mode) but now has me banging my head against a wall in frustration!! Banging Head.....AGAIN!

P.S Quite frankly I'm amazed that people from LR don't look at this forum and see for themselves the frustration this software issue is causing. Perhaps they think we are all keyboard warriors and only criticise.. The car is great but the software is "Stone-Age"!!! All LR cars from 1984

Chalky, it would be interesting to know which version of 19A you have installed. LR seem to be gradually activating the software-over-the-air updates (SOTA) for vehicles and it may be possible that yours has updated itself. The latest update S19A_19.11.4-330884 is allegedly SOTA only.

That said, the today's release note for Pathfinder (the new JLR diagnostic system), says: This release contains updated software for the InControl Touch Pro System. So will be interesting to see which s/w version will be loaded by dealers going forward.

Hi FH

The software I have installed is S19A_19.07.2-312706. When I click on "Vehicle Software Update" on the screen it says no update available.

When I scroll down to "Telematric Update" and search for an update all I get is the four rotating loading squares.

Anyone know how to save a Home address in the generic Satnav? It won't save an address in my car....one more glitch? Whistle All LR cars from 1984

Strange that the nav bug corrected itself, that new bug is very weird. I haven't noticed the telematics update tab on the 18D software. My vehicle is in for the software update in a couple of weeks to correct issues following the 18D update - no voice prompts for Nav and voice commands not working, also in the settings menu a nonfunctional item has appeared for timed climate although the vehicle does not have that function.
I'll try to quiz the dealer on what is happening re over-air updates and report back.

Following my complaint to the dealer, they came back to me today and are collecting the car on 10th May to sort the bugs out. They say there is a patch to fix my problems of yesterday which is probably the 19A_9.11.4 patch.

Once again today everything is perfect, it is so frustrating! Banging Head Banging Head Banging Head Banging Head All LR cars from 1984

Update-

Vehicle went in last week for the software update and so far have noticed the following:
Software loaded is S19A_19.11.4-330884, this was previously over-air only but is now dealer installable
Nav seems to start up quicker
Voice control and prompts now work
Day/night mode switching seems to work ok
Software Update now shows "Software up to date" where it previously showed "no update available" - will see what happens when the next OTA update is available.

Issues remaining
Still have non-functional "Timed Climate" settings item - but vehicle was not built with this option - dealer investigating.
Car Play still not working, it was suggested at the dealer that some early versions of the new system are not capable - I intend to pursue this.

Hi FH

My car has just had the S19A_19.11.4-330884 update and it is worse than before Banging Head

Firstly I couldn't get the Bluetooth to work (it did the following day!!), now I have no voice control when I use the Apple Carplay Google maps or Waze. It also doesn't recognise the phone being plugged into the USB every time and I get a message saying it doesn't recognise it.

When you say "Voice control and prompts now work ", which are these? Are they the satnav prompts on Apple Carplay?

Waiting for the dealer to get back to me with an answer. All LR cars from 1984

Prior to this update none of the voice control worked (it would respond to "cancel" but the voice control screen would come up blank)

Now the voice control screen comes up correctly and I get spoken directions and warnings from the built-in nav, haven't tried controlling the nav via voice though. Can't comment on Car Play as it still isn't working.

Are you talking about voice control on the Hidden Till Lit controls on the steering wheel? All LR cars from 1984

Yes, I meant the voice control as activated from the steering wheel control. Mine's a '67 plate so the old style buttons.
