The lettering is an issue with the L405, known to LR.

Oh rats. Does that mean I could have got it under warranty? I extended mine with LR. |

Don't know... Ours got done by main dealer out of 'good will' about 10 months after purchase as AU but not sure if they claimed it back from LR or warranty, maybe not. |

I'm sure many of you will have a good laugh at this one but I had the same issue with bonnet lettering on my black AB. I had every intention of replacing the lettering, and most likely I'll still do that as I'm a bit OCD with things being right. None the less, and with nothing to lose and no potential damage I bought a miniature model makers paint roller and an aerosol of silver wheel paint (which seems to have great coverage compared to regular paint) sprayed the paint in to the cap, allow the solvent to evaporate a bit, applied to the roller and five minutes later job done. So much so, i've been in no rush to replace the letters as it looks absolutely fine and so much better than a mix of worn silver and black. Don't try brushing it on though, it would look dreadful ! |

Cunning. Never thought of that, though I think my way might have been easier!

I asked Powerful UK about letters a few weeks back when I wanted to buy some having seen their video with the foam template etc. and they didn't have them on their website, they replied to say "we don't sell letters anymore", now they're back on their site, great customer service that. |

I got the powerful ones the other day, one came with a fault but I’m sure they’ll rectify when I let them know, deliver is really fast and the kit and the template is great. £25 which I thought was really reasonable, only wish I’d gone for the rear ones as well.
