The rear Aux socket is a convenient point for plugging a tyre inflator in, but I think is limited to 20A.

The Aux socket in the boot is ok to use, but you have to keep the engine running as it's linked to the timing shut down on the computers? |

I presume you will be airing down and up dependent on track conditions hence the question. I have never had an issue connecting an air compressor direct to the battery, earth to body poss to the Aux terminal on the bulkhead, keeping the engine running whilst using the compressor for long periods. You might think of adding a second battery to the rear and connect via a cheap voltage sensing relay to the existing heavy Poss cable feeding the rear fusebox. If you rewire the rear aux outlet direct to the second battery it takes away any chance of flattening the main. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Yeah that's the idea. I've got the Defender set up with all that kit but not the RR yet, a second battery is definitely on the list of things to add |
