As per the title, replaced ours a year/ 8k miles ago and MD advises they are smearing front and rear. Hadnt noticed tbh and particularly curious about rear as it’s not that often used.

Have replacement sets in our garage anyway, just wondered how often people change them.

Quite often the blades and the glass itself needs a good clean Ryan... Depends what much gets on the screens & obviously this time of the year, they are needed a lot!

I have only change once when they split but I kind of think the car wash place (which also had a new stock of wipers handy) split them as I had cleaned then a couple of days before and no splits.
A bit vinegar in water on glass and blades then wipe with tissue. it is better to have and not need then need and not have

And one other quick point, the rear tinted glass gets quite worn/scratched... This maybe helped by often changing wiper blades

Currently at 47,500 miles & 18 1/2 months old and there’s no sign of splitting and while you can tell that they aren’t brand new, they clear the entirely screen near perfectly. They look good for some while yet - maybe as much as another 12 months. As has been said, keeping the clean really helps; a gentle wipe with a sponge and some dilute car shampo, along their length, really seems to help.

Autoglym glass polish inside as well as out is helpful too, it makes a big difference, especially if the inside has not been done for a while. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Our C70 Volvo and P38 have all needed new wipers including the headlight ones nearly every 6 months with sub 4k miles.

If you weren’t so foolhardy with your cash when you fuel up you’de be able to afford some new wiper blades sir
