Hi all

New to me 65 plate S/C AB has Incontrol services active until 22nd March then renewal or expiry. I read on here how some owners have received a 4th year extension FOC so I asked LR customer relations on here who advised its a case by case and I should formally ask LR, so I did and was told there's no such thing as a 4th year extension unless its paid for by the owner!!

How did those who received a free 4th year get it please?

Possibly asked for it before they paid the deposit?
You'd be amazed how different the dealers are at that point.

Also depends on if you bought the car from them or have a history of buying LR. I seem to recall it was not LR approved or sold, so doubtful they would extend...

How much are they asking for? TBH, i dont really use mine much at all, most of the time it does not work

That covers the tracking. But yes, even then it is about £150 too much!

did you buy the car approved used? If so you should get 2 years foc. i had to ask for it to be activated when i collected but all done in showroom. For what it is worth i don't use it. I bought AU but had to pay for the IC sub as its not included. Happy to pay for the tracker and the convenience of getting the mileage downloads for business mileage claims. I took the view that in the scheme of things it was worth it for the slightly cheaper insurance and the convenience; it amounts to two tanks of diesel cost wise, so to me a no brainer.

I took the cheap bast**d route and extended the app part only for the mileage use etc as you mention Andy

No insurance discount for the tracker as it wasn't active at the time of cover and they don't care about mid term customer benefits so will see next year on that aspect of the Incontrol services.
