2012 L322 - Iphone/music connection via LR lead issue

I have the lead to connect my iPhone SE to the car, through the centre armrest lead.

The car came without its official LR lead, so I sourced a new one via ebay. The phone connects and charges and the multimedia screen shows it's 'trying to connect' but ultimately fails after a 30 second period saying there is a connection issue.

I have a 30-pin to lightning adapter fitted.

Part #: LR-019691.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Make sure you have at least one song on the iPhone.
I stream Deezer via an old iPhone 5 with LR cable and lightening adapter but still need to have one song that has been imported via iTunes.

Thanks, all my music is via iTunes. Maybe get one playing and then connect?

Is your 30pin to lightning a genuine apple one? -- some non genuine are known not to work Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

My old iPod Touch with the 30-pin connector works a treat. Seems to be trying to get the RR to talk to an iPhone with a Lightning adapter is a non-starter, certainly via cable, anyway.

Thanks all.

A lot of members have gone with a Bovee, and it works great.

My wife has hundreds of songs on a USB stick which stays permanently fitted.

Ian,

You'll still need the curly lead to connect the bovee!

Hmmmm......I have no problems with either the iPhone on the curly lead and lightning adapter or the USB stick left plugged in.
