DvD multi player jammed

ok, now for my next problem Laughing

I put some dvds in yesterday and they worked fine. Today it played for about 10 minutes then it stopped with a message saying mech error. Now I cant eject the dvd cassete. Any ideas?

sometimes tapping the casing with a screwdriver handle works.. ... - .- -.

I had that too..ended up opening the tray door, taking a long hard look at it, then gently twiddles the parts i could see with a small screwdriver untill the tray clicked back into place fully, then it ejected... GONE 2010 Facelifted 3.6 TDV8 - Stornoway Grey + 22" Overfinch Olympus

Well Stan, my DVD player gave up the ghost last year, stating mechanical error!

disc error normally relates to a dodgy disc...is it ok with another disc..

No, it reports it for every disc.

I'm suspecting the lens might need cleaning but it doesn't look like it can be done in situ. Because the TV reception is so hit and miss, my little one wants me to fix it! 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE
