Next problem.....

Got in the car this evening, no Ambient lighting! Says "Ambient lighting not available", then if I keep pressing the bloody icon the picture of the car comes up with a message which says "Ambient Lighting Not Switched On".

Anyone any ideas how (or if) it can be turned on from settings. Can't see anything.

£95k of problem after problem, small they may be but should not be there!!  All LR cars from 1984

Morning, are you on the latest software, 18D l believe - if you are l was told by the service manager of my dealer told me yesterday that it has been withdrawn as it has too many problems - no sign of a replacement either!!

Mine's now working for the route map, including those that didn't show from last Saturday. Still no odometer reading though, does anyone else experience this?

I was told the same about 18D by dealer this week but that version 19 would be launched in April and this will fix “everything”......

Chalky...re the ambient lighting 'not available", i see that occasionally, along with deployable steps not being available too. Usually after starting car, not mid journey. Problem goes away after a minute or so, almost if 18D takes ages to load and doesn't like being disturbed as it does so. My most impressive 18D issue so far has been main instrument cluster going blank for about a minute shortly after journey started.

For me the Journey Detail has now fixed itself will all straight line journeys now updated with start/finish addresses and route taken.

Yes, I have the 18D update which although seems to have cleared most of the problems after the 18C update it has left a dodgy Ambient Lighting!

Last night after pressing the screen to get it working numerous times it eventually loaded the screen allowing me to set the colours, but the circle of colours didn't come up straightaway, it flickered as if it was trying its best to load (bless it!!).

After a while it did let me set the colours and now I have ambient lighting again However........

This morning I tested it and the same thing happened although I suspect/ hope the colours will be there when I look again tonight!! I think you're right mabanks!!

I think my wife thinks i have some "bit of crumpet" outside as I keep dashing out to the car at night If she only knew at my age!!! All LR cars from 1984

Looks like there is another fault on the App, I’m just getting straight lines on the journey routes - again !!! - also showing as parked unlocked with a door open - when the vehicle is locked with all doors firmly shut - has anybody else got issues 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

What's your iOS version? Mine is 12.1.4(16D57). It might be your phone is due an update, or maybe mine, is but hasn't updated so it still works!!  All LR cars from 1984

I had the 18D upgrade in mid Feb and cant say I've noticed anything that doesn't work. I am aware of most things like cameras and maps needing a moment to pretty themselves before working but thats par for the course with software. My laptop isn't instant either. Car Play works well but isn't very pretty to look at whereas the In Control set up is but doesn't give live traffic like Waze. I also had the issue of ambient lighting taking a while to load but seems to have improved all by itself

Like you, Huwrhys everything is working ok now. Just wonder for how long, but that's probably me being cynical!

When it all works it is brilliant. Apple Carplay is good, Waze very good if you are driving in an area (like a city or Mway), where there are a lot of Wazers about. It's also fun, but a bit distracting, reporting hazards etc on Waze.

Google maps is good with live traffic, but I think LR's own "Here" navigation is pretty good too! Just to think, with ACP we now have a choice of 4 Satnavs!!

One thing though, sometimes I can play Apple Music through the car via Bluetooth without plugging in the phone, but not all the time. Is that normal? All LR cars from 1984

That's just working from Bluetooth I guess. I use Spotify both via ACP and BT without any difference being heard to my cloth ears. The LR system doesn't always show whats playing on the screen when on BT which it does on ACP and the LR system when connected by cable.
