IID / Remap question

Can a EGR valve that has been turned off on a remap be turned back on again using a IID tool?

Email , GAP, when i had mine remapped i jad the option to store the original map but I'm not sure this would include EGR. Cant see why not but best to check with GAP. 2015 4.4 AB

Was the remap done using the IID Tool (ie was it a BAS EGR patch)? If so then yes, I believe this is possible. If no, then no chance... 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Mine is a quantum remap and Patrick at gap talked me through how to save the original map. Not an expert just speaking from first hand experience. 2015 4.4 AB

Sorry I didn't intend to contradict you. My reading of the question was that the remap was already done and thus my comment that you wouldn't be able to revert (without the original map stored in the IID). What you've said makes sense that you can revert to a stored map.

Quantum keep a copy of the original map in "secure archival storage" so you can certainly go back but without the original you'd need a Quantum dealer to do it. 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate
