I provided a link for you to verify the price, as I was surprised you provided a RRP price of nearly double the average price.

I asked if you checked the price elsewhere - you took umbridge at that.

Yes I do have knowledge, none of which I was born with, all of which I learnt either from posts here or from flicking through the workshop manual whilst dealing with problems.

My comment about "Dealer Rape" and we've all been there, I was raped super hard by Harwoods of Edenbridge was in reference to your own "taking trousers down" comment HERE so I think you may have taken it slightly out of context.

Quite simply, you complained about the price and quality without doing ANY research yourself first. Therefore you have very little grounds to complain.

I've tried to help you in almost every other problem you've had, tried to encourage you to try to do things yourself first rather than going to the stealer to save you money.

But if you don't want my help, then okydoke.

I was surprised too, also the foam cushion underneath the leather that gives the seat its shape is very cheap.

Certainly worth considering as the seats do wear badly. £160 to replace all the leather on the drivers seat for example is a bargain if you want to sell the car in "best" condition.

The prices I got were specific to my model so 2002 HSE parchment leather. Other newer cars may have to pay more. I will be double checking exactly what you get mind. Don't want something similar to what Nick had turn up. FFRR TD6 HSE

Dependant on MY and trim level the seat bases are about £530 and the seat back about £700. Some of them rise to £900 for the base and £1100 for the back.

Aside from all this talk of sexual harassment...
Not done L322 seats, but I've replaced seat heating elements and rebuilt manual BMW seats to electric (adding motors, switches, etc) which requires removing the seat covering from the base/cushion. While there are tools to make the job easier, they're not necessary. As far as difficulty goes, if you're unhappy with replacing a water pump or the like, you'll be unhappy here. And time: roughly 2-3 hrs/seat including removal and re-installation.



Nick, I don't have time to shop around and research every purchase I make. But I do tend to want to see something like this before purchasing - same as wanting to see what 'Muminlawisstaying3weeks Red' or 'Erectnipple Blue' is before ordering a car. And if you're unhappy about being 'took' by the dealer for a stupid job, explain to them as you have here. Loudly. You'll likely not get money back, but maybe you'll get a back rub and a diet coke next time your car is serviced.

We have a dog as well, and what we did was dog guard + boot liner. We also have one of these for the other cars:

Costs 1/10th of the seat covers and does not affect looks when the dog's not in the car.

And you could potentially have done quite a bit worse. Aftermarket vs OEM (on a RRS).

That's a very valid point.

Actually, we don't use the blanket much - and we have a doggie belt (law in Italy). But our Lab is usually either on the floor because the kids are on the back seat or in the RR she's in the boot.

The car we purchased the blanket for has rearward leaning front seats and the blanket is made to hold that sort of load (according to the manufacturer). Problem in that car is if I open the boot lid I see this

well yes a sports car does propose a problem.. Think a harness that locks into the seat belt is best way to go for the porsche
