We’ve been looking at a few TDV8s to replace the TD6 and all of them are up to 4 or 5 owners. The best one we’ve seen has the lowest mileage and nearly every optional extra and a full history but we’d be the 7th owner since 2009.

It could be a typical style accessory issue. If you've got enough money to buy one, you've often got enough to ignore the losses when you get bored with them as no longer new / novel & decide to replace it.

I was the 7th owner of my first FFRR (2002 TD6) when I bought it in 2009. It was faultless for the 3 years I owned it. My second was a 5 owner. Never had any problems with owner numbers. It’s about how they’ve been looked after by all those owners. |

I bought my BMW 335 and was the 6th or 7th owner, the car was a touch over two years old. It had a few niggles but I still have it nearly ten years later. Without contacting all of the previous owners to ask why they sold you'll be guessing and may be guessing incorrectly. First time FFRR owner |

They do say buy on condition and history not owners. It's easy to get hung up on whether it's a car is a bag of spanners as its changed owners more times than you would like but there can be good reasons why its had more than average owners. Like me people get easily bored with cars or get rid to avoid a big maintenance bill.

We love it. Best one we saw when looking around. I was all for buying a standard model but this one caught my eye |
