2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
Hopefully coming back into the fold..

Hi all
I had a 54 plate TD6 back in 2010 which sadly turned out to be a bit of a lemon, but have always loved the L322 shape and after watching the TDV8 video on Harry’s Garage I’m hankering again! A friend of mine has a 2010 TDV8 Vogue in black/parchment. He’s the second owner having bought the car off a colleague, so it’s got known provenance and has full main dealer history and has been maintained at the same main dealer regardless of cost. It’s on 66k miles and has recent tyres and brakes.

He’s unsure what it might be worth so has asked me to make him an offer - what do you guys think is a fair price?

I think I’ll get it inspected at an Indy to make sure there’s nothing serious looming and budget to get the EGR valves done and all fluids changed.

Cheers

2010 is change over year, so check if it is a 3.6 or 4.4 tdV8.
It makes a big difference to the value.

It's a 3.6 6 speed but with the facelift front grille and interior.

Cheers

Any inkling on a guide price? WBAC suggest £11k but that seems much lower than anything advertised.

Thanks in advance.

Its sounds like it's been looked after and a known motor is always a massive plus.... Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Parker’s Guide suggest:

- £12,620 for a private sale in good condition
- £13,690 for independent dealer sale, presumably with warranty
- £11,700 as px

Mileage is slightly lower than might be expected, which could price up a fraction, but not too much.

Should give a reasonable idea. I’d probably start by offering £12k and see what happens. Remember that adverts are asking prices, not actual sale prices. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322
Vogue SE, TDV8 3.6, Bournville

Now gone: 2002 Range Rover L322
Vogue, TD6, Giverney Green

Thanks guys. It seems like one helluva car for £12k ish and knowing it's been main dealer maintained regardless of cost does give me some peace of mind.

I guess the next question is, should I be looking for a 4.4 TDV8...? Looking online I think I'd be paying at least £5k more for a similar mileage/owners car albeit one which is a year or two newer.

Stick with a known car....both variants have their foibles. I'd go with the car you know.... Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

The inspection gave a very clear bill of health with just one new tyre needed. Few biggish service items due in the next 12 months as it reaches 10 years old so am currently negotiating.... incoming soon I hope!
