I need to replace a full set of tyres on the Westie nd am now debating with myself (yeah it's the medication ) on what to replace them with.

I have been running Conti Cross Contact for the past few years with few issues except a bit of accelerated wear on the outer shoulders. I do about 17k miles a year and the very occasional muddy field.

From reading what others on here have said about tyres the options seem to be:

1. Conti's
2. Pirelli Scorpion Verde
3. Pirelli Scorpion Zero
4. Grabber AT3's

So what do you all think? Any other options?

Michelin cross climate. Just swapped after years of Pirelli's - very impressive tyres

When i replace mine i will be going for whatever the latest version Grabber AT is at the time. Had a set of AT on an X5 and they were superb all year round. 2011 RR Autobiography 4.4 TDV8

I have put Grabber AT3s on my L405 and they are excellent. No additional road noise and much more effective in slippery conditions. Also cheaper that the original Pirellis

Just put 4 x Pirelli verdes on (£135 ea) so will let you know how they are.

I’m looking at a set to replace my Conti Cross UHPs but can’t find much to recommend under £150 a corner with like for like around £200 each. Current: FF Westminster money pit

+1 for the Grabbers. Have them on my L322 , £450 fitted for a set, and also look great.

Seems like a few of you have the grabbers. Looks like they're rated E for fuel economy and wet performance, is that a concern as the other brands are usually rated C for both.

Gonna change all 4 of my Pirelli Scorpion’s to Michelin’s today, be interesting to see what difference the Michelin’s feel like compared to the Pirelli’s
Will have 3 of the Pirelli’s for sale if anyone wants them 255 55 20 Pirelli scorpion verde 3mm left on all.

I’d like a set of those too but, infuriatingly, Michelin don’t make them in sizes to suit the 405 and they don’t have any plans to fix that

I’ve run several sets of the Pirelli Scorpion Verde (currently averaging about 38,000 miles a year, so I get through a few) and I can’t fault them. They were remarkable in the snow on Bodmin moor a few weeks back (I was one of the few to get off Bodmin moor and not have to overnight it in the car!), they are quiet, grip well in the cold and in heavy rain and last very well. My last set were the originals on my 405 and they had nearly 4mm showing at 32,000 miles but had to be changed early due to heavy inner edge wear on the rear; something that I’m putting down to the tracking being massively out from the factory

Having been trawling the "real world" reviews myself today i have now discounted the grabbers as, whilst excellent for off road and wet muddy fields, they seem a bit of a compromise particularly in heavy rain (which of course never happens in the UK )

I did read that Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons were excellent in lots of testing, scoring better than pirelli, michelin etc across the board but it seems they don't make them in a FFRR size

Now seemingly narrowing my options down to Pirelli Scorpion Verde (thanks Red Merle) or the Michelin Cross Climate.

The final dilemma will then be whether to have a 50 or 55 profile!!! 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey
