France 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Rimini Red

A lot easier to keep clean though
We’ve always had cream interiors before, not so bad head lining is cream.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

Excellent choice and a lovely car. Congratulations!

I'm looking at the same route with a late L322 4.4 TDV8 rather than an early L405 SDV8. Just a bit more suited to my needs and the TDV8 seems to have a better reputation for reliability.

Look forward to hearing how you are enjoying your new vehicle ! Current

France 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Rimini Red

Hi bigfella
I really wanted to get into a new shape rangey, but because I am exporting it, the cost of a SDV8 was too much, so I was limited to a 2013 TDV6, plenty around at the right mileage and price. But was really put off by the negative feedback on the engine problem, if it does happen to you you are looking at 15k to replace engine, if you can find someone to do it properly!
Where we live, there are no main dealers as such. And the local garages are not equipped to work on something as complicated as the L405.
We have had Range Rover’s for the last 18 years, and each time I come to change them, I consider what else is on the market, unfortunately there is nothing quite like a rangey...size,comfort, drivability.
I have had a 3.6 TDV8 for the last 6 years, and it has been brilliant, still looks and drives lovely.
So I am not to disapointed to end up with another L322, and with the 8 speed box, new dash etc, it’s enough to make it feel a different car, on the plus side, I can maintain most of this myself, servicing etc.
I collect the car next week, as I am having some paintwork done, and a Williams valet, which is a coating they apply after a machine polish, probably will not last, but worth a try.
If you are looking for a late TDV8, there are plenty out there, with low miles and high spec. Also save yourself at least 10-11k
For a 12 month older car!

Getting excited now!
Flying in tomorrow, to collect the new rangey!
Got full breakdown recovery, just in case.
Going to Halfords on Wednesday morning, going to get a load of DPF and injector cleaner, after a 700 mile drive home it should be clean as new inside!
