I would imagine that they would look to do a straight purchase of your car in the £65-67,000 region.

Keep it!

I think you're about right there, to me it's not worth selling at that level. My dealer's being nice as he hopes to get another sale from me and knows I won't stomach low ball bids.

Managing depreciation on an L405 Rolling with laughter

Keep it as long as you like, then lube up & bend over Whistle

I'm sure there is an optimal time to trade in, but equally sure that it's a moving target and there is no magic formula. I still believe it's largely exponential decay - with the biggest hit in the first year - that didn't happen for a while after the L405 was launched, but expect it to be the case again now.

Mines 5 1/2 years old and 90k+ and milesI probably should be trading it, but I'm very reluctant to as it hasn't had any problems and there's no killer features that I think justify the cost to change. I can see me hanging on until the next new model at this rate.....

I've had this model for 5 years now and similar mileage to you, I guess I've got bored with them and now don't want to continue owning and losing a pile too hence my bailing out on a high Laughing

So, my car went today and I'm no longer a FFRR owner. Big Cry Achieved a price which I'm incredibly happy with and lost just close to £11k over 11 months and 13k miles Thumbs Up Have to thank my dealer in Christchurch who have been amazing throughout the process.
Now looking for a replacement which will be another LR product but will be following this forum, it's the best one out there!

Not bad depreciation at £0.91p a mile - I know of several examples where depreciation has been around £2.50 a mile in the first 18 months - and that’s not running costs just depreciation 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Seems not bad at 11k for a year with "moderate to high" miles Andy. Congrats.

So what now? all smug in my new plug!
