Do I need the sat nav module plugged in for sound?

No sound from my speakers, I just wondered if the Sat nav unit in the boot needed to be there for sound?

The previous owner removed it as it was creating a flat battery.

Nope, you'll be able to remove the box no problem, sound will still continue. Just make sure you wait for the red light to go out after a minute or two before unplugging it all
