L322 bargain deployable side steps

Duckworth’s on EBay have some L322 deployable side steps for a bargain £425. Brand new, all the kit and 2 year warranty.

Bought a set and had them fitted last week - very happy!

Don’t forget if you want to remove any wheels (to fix a puncture etc) the handbook advises you HAVE to remove the steps in order to access the jacking points on the chassis.

Or a good top tip... Deploy your step then unplug it! It cannot try to close on you and gives you piece of mind when jacking up Thumbs Up

@Craig,

where do you unplug it from? There is a button in my roof to switch off but it doesn't work. How can i find out why not?

Is it a fuse or a physical link gone?

James, they unplug at the front hinge, just behind the sill cover... Very easy to unplug (when you know where they are) Thumbs Up

Hope the family are well especially the little man Thumbs Up

I got a set from farnells via eBay for £375.I was going to fit them myself but on removing the old fixed side steps the first bolt sheared off when trying to loosen it. So took the fatty to land ranger in stockport for them to fit and they said every single bolt sheared off so def glad I didnt carry on myself..Very happy with them. 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver

This kit doesn’t contain all the bits you need - so for a new install, it would be more than the advertised price.

Cable set was £111. Do you need more parts for a retrofit? 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway

Turn ignition on, within 10s, hold the button for 3 sec. They'll then stay in their current positions until next ignition cycle 2007 L322 3.6 TDV8 Stornoway

+1 for the above but i changed my wheels today and i used a forklift with strategically place lumps of 4 x 4 timber so the door method gave me piece of mind even though i sure the factory way would have been fine Thumbs Up 2015 4.4 AB
