Any pointers lads? Struggling to remove it, limited room down the drivers side and it may never of been off

Is there an easy way to remove the side light unit? 2003 model btw

have an arm wrestle with the wife, if she wins then get her to undo it for you..


no easy way , maybe squirt some wd40 on it for a day ..

If you have long enough arms, reach right under, it’s a bit hazy but iirc don’t attack it fromthe obvious direction. I might be mixed up & recalling the offside though

Take off the front grill
Loosen head light nuts
Pull headlight forward slightly
Just enough room to get at it
I dropped mine into the bowels when trying to reattach it - suggest tying a long piece of thread around it so you can recover it should you drop it
It is a swine of a job - prepare for skinned knuckles.

I dont have much luck with them Joe, was hoping there was an easy way to access the drivers side one. Was kinda hoping Mr Tickle from Mr Men was on here

Thanks Ballogie...... I think. I’ll give it a go once it’s home (currently stuck in hospital car park as per my other thread)

The light/indicator unit? Just the big white plastic thingy surely - you can see it from above - undo (long thread) then push the stud slightly away from the engine as you pull the unit forwards - my hands fit fairly easily?
