Looks great - shame its been converted back to coils.  

Tell me about it! The air suspension would have made it perfect right now, but it messed up (as, i hear, air suspension so often does) a few years ago when my brother had the vehicle, and he converted it to coils.
Cheers for the comment though... will be really sad to sell it to be honest, has been a dream to drive... so much fun! If i could afford to I would keep it, but i need the money to buy a P38 diesel (anything that's slightly more economical! )

Buy an HSE with multipoint LPG - you will get a higher spec and also won't want to kill yourself every time you press the accelerator pedal!

The only 2.5 to go for is the early manuals as you loose so much power through the auto trans. But expect Manual cloth seats, no A/C let alone climate control and various other blank spaces on the dash where goodies should be!

Going from the RRC to a 2.5DT would be a serious downgrade.

Thanks Dan - I will definitely look into it.
To be honest i haven't yet looked into P38 specs / market, and so I know very little about it.
Will definitely take your advice though when looking about. I know it's a downgrade, am going to miss the power soooo much... nothing gets pedestrians / bad drivers out of the way quicker in London than the growl from a quick rev of that V8 engine!
Traffic lights are a hell of a lot of fun too... nobody expects to be out-accelerated by a RR Classic.
Am not 100% set on a P38 yet though.... if i could afford it, I'd like to upgrade to an L322, but i think they'll depreciate quicker than the P38's... and again it's a question of whether i could afford one
I heard that they're generally more reliable than their older counterparts... then again, they are still a Range Rover lol

Important thing on a P38 is that the AC works (it dries the air inside the cabin year round). They have a lot of elctricals, and if you've read about the BeCM failing its due to moisture in the air eating the circuit boards. (L322 suffer the same problem. If you test drive the car and the AC doesnt work - walk away. It will be a gremlin farm!

There is about a £750 - 1K Price difference between good derv ones and good HSE's so the money you save on buying the car you can plough into an LPG kit. Check out Profess Autogas.

Also there is a massive knowledge base on rangerovers.net about the V8, where as there is very little/no info on the 2.5.

Nice...I've just had a bid on it I used to have one virtually the same (mine was running TPI instead of the carb), yours is the only other one I've seen with the same interior.

The one I used to have was featured in LRO magazine a few months back, you may have seen it...

By shear fluke Jeremy from LPR has seen this car up close and was very complimentary. Jeremy has a couple of Overfinch Classic's himself so I'd like to think he know his stuff.

Went for £6k, unseen.

He originally offered £6.5k, and asked me to take photos of any rusty spots i could find.
Looked under the wheel arches, and there were some there, and the exhaust was also a bit rusty.
There were also other little spots here and there... nothing serious though, just thumbnail-sized.... the wheel aches (a couple of them anyway) were the only 'rust-hotspots'....
he reduced his offer to £6k... again unseen, which i accepted. I received the bank transfer confirmation today... now waiting 3-4 days for money to hit my account and he's sending a company to come and pick it up and deliver it to him (abroad).

£6k was the lowest i'd go really... and i still got 3 people emailing me over the weekend interested (which i had to reject).
I think i could have got £6.5k - £7k without too much problem, but i valued a quick and simple sale, so accepted £6k.

Of course... not letting it go to the delivery company until the money's firmly in my bank though.... just in case the 'transfer confirmation' scan was a forgery... though unlikely.

Be VERY careful that the money is in your bank and CAN BE MOVED out of it. In some scams the money hits your bank and then dissapears a few days later as it never cleared!

Nearly ALL scams involve out of country buyers and the car being "Collected" so just be careful, I would want to be able to move the money from Bank Account to Savings or similar before release.
