You can bet that JLR were there right away with a, no doubt free, replacement. Advertising and all that. John

Sure if it was current model. Bit trickier with an older model though...

I did read somewhere that he had an almost identical one up at Balmoral and that was the one seen being delivered. Cheers Ian

Might have been nice for the owner of the other trashed car if *someone* had given her a free car next day... |

Yeah they've left her high and dry according to the papers today.

Yes, considering how many PR people they must be surrounded by the Royals consistently fail to feel the pulse of the nation. |

I think they always used to have two of every Royal car, one was being serviced whilst they use the other one, so that’s probably what’s happened here. |

I'm genuinely curious whether a full-size would've rolled or not. On 1 hand, it's much heavier than a Freelander but on the other, it sits higher up and (I imagine) with a higher center of gravity. 2010 RR SC

Having owned three Freelander 2’s there’s surpringly little difference in height between one and a full fat. They are a fair bit narrower though and there’s less inertia to resist being pushed sidewides in such an impact. I’d suggest that the FL2 would be more likely to roll than a fatty. |
