When someone I know asked about getting an LHD one they were told by the salesman they would have to go through Land Rover special vechicles, I don't really understand what's so special about a vechicle that comes off the same production line and has the steering wheel 3 feet to the left , I think it was most likely the salesman didn't know what he was on about!.

5.7 Tim is right speak to James at LPR. I have ordered LHD from them.

Yep, we're fine with LHD........ They are ordered to Belgium Spec (closest to UK spec with LHD set-up) and then we add any missing UK bits to the profile. There is a small fee for LHD and we do take a higher deposit (as you can understand), but apart from that it's easy!

Hi all thanks for your help and suggestions, the reason why I posted the question in the first place was because I had gone to Harwoods in West Sussex and they stated that they could not supply me with a LHD R/R

All dealers can supply LHD. Some are obviously more comfortable to do so that others!

Had the same response from Harwoods in 1995.
Eventually supplied by LRDip sales via Broadfields - still have the rear 'square' no plate hanging in the garage M6x6-CVC. Registered in solihull.

Coz they are scared stiff that the buyer will back out of the deal at the last minute. It will be easier to buy LHD in London/SE than in darkest Wales because that is where the highest sales are going to be with foreign visitors, however as I said earlier the LR dealer in Wick/Inverness has supplied not only a LHD RRS to a friend of mine who lives in Belgium but he's now also sold 3 LHD D4's to that guy's brother in law as well! They can be bought and as James said he would want a bigger deposit - I think that some of the other dealers who shy away from selling them also want you to take something they already have in their group/local stock.
