Very Weird Problem help !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Guys

Had a weird one start today, was driving along then got the HDC inactive message, stopped restarted no issues and carried on.

Went to the petrol station filled up restarted loads of issues HDC, transmission, headlights steering etc.

Read my codes with GAP tool, cleared and drove fine.

Now ever time I start it I get a transmission error and the following codes on the GAP tool. Clear the codes and car drives fine.

I have checked the battery as its new 14.2 volts running and 12.4 when engine is off so looks like battery is good.

Once codes cleared the car drives as normal, also does not start first time does nothing like if you try and start in drive, then try again and it will.

Any ideas its a weird one.

Thanks

I had issues very similar to what you are experiencing a week ago with my 2006 Vogue. Turns out the battery was failing. I changed the battery with a new one from Halfords and everything worked OK again.

I had the alternator checked out yesterday, and it is pushing 14.4 volts, so that is working OK.

Sounds like your battery is not holding a charge to me. Try putting it on a trickle charger for a couple of hours, then see if it starts OK. If so, get new battery soonest.

Sounds like you've been unlucky that your new battery has failed. Did Halfrauds supply and fit? What type of battery did they sell you? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

Yes all fixed now had to put it into landcover, it was the key module had failed and lots of the coms between modules go via this module. Hence everything stop working.

This sounds like it could be happening to mine!

Was the key module expensive? Part of ignition switch?
