United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Cairns Blue
Good bye and thanks

Morning team after 6 years I am off. The FF has been taken down on a carpark by an Eco warrior in his Nissan leaf his tofu got caught under the brake pedal and he clouted the nearside front wing and wheel. When we tried to move the FF the air suspension faulted out. The insurance company says total loss and £'s in the bank within an hour of calling them! Car being uplifted and carted away today.
It has been a journey in every way, I have never had to spend so much time and money on a car or been in so many recovery trucks. Having to get home from Paris when it let go of its gearbox with two kids and a dog will be something that we never forget.
The advice, help, support and banter on this forum has helped so thank you for you assistance.
The kids have grown up and the caravan is long gone so we just dont need a "big" car anymore, getting something smaller is easy but getting something to match is more difficult.

Keep up the good work.

thanks again
Andy Mine was a blue one! Smile

Sorry to hear that. Who is the insurance company, if you don't mind me asking?

@jim4424 Not sure originally a freelander but getting a bit old now. disco sport silly money and to many issues. So probably an XC 60 although just got Mrs a Mini Countryman All4 with the insurance payout as a quick fix. First time without a Land Rover in 25 years!
@gj88 I am with tesco who I cant fault. the other driver was with Hastings I called them first as usually they like to deal with third party claims before the bill gets out of hand. They didnt want to know so just called tesco as you have to tell them nowadays anyway even if a 3rd party claim so will get spanked a bit on renewal but like I said super service almost to much information and paid out within a hour for about the cost of what similar to mine were up for sale for.
@weggie sheep shearing Le Dorat this yea!r and I got a blue Kangoo hack out there now, make's me look like the Gendarme's
thanks

This might be worth a look if you’d consider a Freely (it’s the nearest you might get to a new one and an improvement on a DS Thumbs Up )

Update: Oh well, I thought it could have been of some interest... Rolling Eyes

Andy, the important thing is that you and your family is ok...although the thought of a Nissan Leaf totalling a full fat Range Rover does have me chuckling just a touch. Wink 2010 RR SC
