Infrastructure costs

Does anyone ever wonder if we pay to much for our infrastructure? From potholes to bridges, I think we are getting stuffed, Thus our tax pound isn’t being stretched far enough

a four lane tunnel with two rail tunnels. TWELVE mile length cost £6 billion connecting Germany/ Denmark

Lower thames crossing 1 or 2 miles 6 lanes. For the same money...The budget is also £6 billion . they more or less got an extra 10 miles and a rail line thrown in ...

Ours is a tunnel theirs is a block built... so? Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Sounds like theirs isn't really a tunnel as such - I would expect that boring out a tunnel is more complex & expensive than laying a huge pipe type arrangement on the sea bed

Maybe Alister , but you would hope our guys would use the best option. The lower thames is not as deep as their main sea area... they are dredging a ditch... so could we....
just makes me wonder if we are all joined up.

I did notice they have eu funding, seems we haven’t got our ducks lined up for a bit of cash before we leave... Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. They did the same construction across the river Medway open cut not as deep as the Norway sea maybe that was where our money was going to be spent? Or is it the cost of private jets for Claude Juncker to travel which is against the EU rules??
