Carefully check the top i/c hose for a split, commonly underneath. |

Someone else with similar symptoms on a fullfat found that they had a split in the inlet manifold which is not too uncommon. They had whistle and limp mode driving steadily up a hill on a fixed throttle. Previously a 2008MY Tonga Green Vogue SE 3.6 TDV8 |

Good luck with it Tom. You will find a couple of recent threads on this problem on the 3.6. They might give you some indication of the work required.
