Range Rover Vogue 3.6 v8 td.
Just had the entire brake pipe system, front, front to rear, and rear flagged red at the main dealer service, needless to say quoted a fortune and I have to supply my own Vaseline. Any recommendations as to alternative to dealer in the
Barnsley/South Yorkshire Area would be greatly appreciated.

Dealers always quote to drop the fuel tank etc so the price is huge when it doesnt need all those parts removing.

Not sure about anyway that far south but i think green oval have a place in wakefield if your prepared to travel a bit or leeds as well by the motorway network. Im sure someone else might have some other options nearer to home for you hough. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

Its over 100 miles round trip for me to Green Oval - but well worth it (even in my 5.0L SC) to talk to people clearly on top of their game. Leeds, Wakefield, Barnsley are they all not in Yorkshire? or am I missing something? Geoff

Barnsley is still a trek from Leeds or wakefield being south yokshire and west yorkshire though but some people are happy to travel for expertise. There may be places closer to barnsley others have used too that they can recommend as well so always good to have a few options.

To be fair any decent garage with a ramp could do brake lines doesnt need to be a land rover specialist but they probably do them all the time based on how many need replacing so may be faster on labour. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

I just realised that I also said Wakefield of course that should be Green Oval Wetherby.

I think Barnsley to Leeds is just over 23miles - hardly a trek. Geoff

Had all mine replaced at Mel Hudson motors Scunthorpe usingnon corroding cuniform tubing for £250 all in. 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

I used to be indecisive and have a split personality... but we are ok now...I think?

Try performance direct at cudworth he is a mate of mine and he replaced my brake pipes

I the end I left it with dealer at Wakefield. Front brake pipes and flexies, front to rear pipes, rear pipes and flexies, new rear pads, dismantle and clean handbrake shoes, Oh and a new battery.
But I did get a brand new discovery sport for two days, and two air fresheners when I paid the bill. The joys of motoring Eh.
