Mk4 nav in and all working. Current 2002 disc does work so all good. Once tested tried my screen splash upload ( from matt stevensons site) and just said it didn't recognise the cd? Any ideas??

Whilst looking at bimmernavs site it talks about 3d perspective on the mk4 unit but does not include RR in list. Is this correct?

Would my new splash screen work with old software as is the Splash screen i downloaded the whole software upgrade, i'm guessing not as i write it! ? Just bought dvd maps and v32 software from bimmernav for £36. Will report back once arrives.

New unit fitted. Noticed that when i lock the car the screen sometimes just glows but with nothing on it. Sure it used to have land rover logo?? Presumably when i update fiirmware/ splash screen this will rectify it self and is not a fault with the unit?

Not 100% on this nick but I think the screen should go off completely once you lock it up, logo or not. How long is it staying on after you lock it??

mike.

depends how long the screen stays on..after a journey, stop and lock then its almost immediate...if you unlock and then lock ,it stays on for about 6/7 minutes.. ... - .- -.

Mmmm - maybe it's just your accent, but I'm having a little trouble understanding what you're saying. Rolling with laughter

You're asking if the splash screen is a separate piece of sw? No. I gave you the links a couple lots o post back to all you need to make this DIY. Make a splash screen image (neked ladies if you like) and insert it into the firmware with navtweak. It can often take several tries to get a cd burnt that your nav will read. That's whay all the tips w/burn slow, etc. If your laser is on it's way out, you'll likely never get a home brewed cd read.

If you bought BMW v32 fw you'll have a nice BMW splash screen.
