Tdv8 strange behaviour when pulling off

When pulling away from stand still, engine at idle , push down on the accelerator and the engine sounds louder and although it does move slightly then once it hits around 1500rpm the engine goes quiet as would be expected and then the vehicle accelerates away as would be expected. No fault codes, does it in drive and sport. Really hard to explain as it doesnt feel like the engine misfires just running at almost half power from 800 to 1500 rpm. Egr valves have been blanked, gearbox oil and filter has been done with the correct lifeguard 6 oil and was drained and refilled twice. Has had recent boost pipes. Was doing this before any of these... once driving everything drives as it should. Anybody have similiar issue or had issue? Thanks ! 2004 td6 l322 - gone

I had a very similar symptom around a month ago. Blanked and mapped out my EGR valves after changing trans oil, diff oils etc.
Car pulled like a snail until 2000rpm then whoosh, away she flew. Cleaned the MAP sensors, checked hoses, vacuum pipes, no improvement.
Then reset the trans adaptations, bingo, she pulls properly again. It took a few hundred miles to really settle but the improvement was immediately apparent. Now its perfect. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Did as above and it worked! Previously cleared adaptions not long after changing the transmission oil using iid tool but this time i used a snapon modis ultra and that had a relearn procedure which involved driving with gentle throttle through every gear then stopping and holding the brake for 10 seconds 3 times. After doing this and a couple of journeys it is now perfect! 2004 td6 l322 - gone

Mine seems to have similar symptoms and I'm thinking of resetting the gearbox adaptations, but I keep reading horror stories about doing it.

Is there any reason not to do it? 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

As I understand it, the adaptations should not be reset at the same time as a trans fluid change as it compensates for wear in the clutch packs as well as driving styles. I left mine a few hundred miles after a fluid change before resetting it. It worked for me. My fatty felt like the handbrake was on until around 2000 rpm then released. Now it pulls right through the rev range. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

That might be worth a try, although a lot of my driving is on dual carriageways and it's reluctant to change into the higher gears in Sport mode. 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE
