Its actually for a trailer (bike rack) I've noticed that the normal incandescent bulb is melting the plastic so I thought switch to LEDs - cooler but I think I've read somewhere that RR electronics don't like having LED light boards - is that true or will a can bus error free LED be OK? Geoff

In their default setting, the RR expects to sense incandescent bulbs on the trailer circuits and will bing error messages on the dash if it cant see them.

The LED bulbs will still work in general, even through the message will display on the dash. I cant speak for canbus working or not ... but its probably worth trying to go for them over non-canbus anyway. V8 or else ...

some led lighted caravans have problems...there are a few threads on solutions i think..
