Lost service interval reminder

I had my second hand vehicle serviced by the dealer at the time of purchase as part of the deal. It was on 46000 miles and that was June 2017. This week I visited the dealer to have my winter tyres put on and they told me it should have had its next service by now. I'm now on 68000 miles. The car has never displayed the service reminder.

Then I remembered the battery died on me in July this year while on a camping holiday. I borrowed some jump leads and got it going and on returning home I had the battery replaced by the dealer as it they recommended that after a full drain occurs and also because it was quite old. I asked at the time if this would cause the car to loose its service interval data and they said it would not. However since it hasn't warned me of the service I can't help think that the battery drain did cause it to lose track of the interval data.

Can a full attery drain cause this or should the car remember the service interval info? 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black
