Largest doughnut tank to fit in the spare wheel space

I recently bought a L322 with an lpg conversion but the 100 litre tank is behind the rear seats and I have found that the carrying capacity of the car is severely limited because of this. So what is the largest capacity tank that will fit in the spare wheel well? Many thanks in advance
Mark

I had a classic RR a good few years ago and did the conversion to LPG myself. I didnt want lose either bootspace or the spare wheel. The solution was provided by RPi engineering, LPG conversion specialist. They had a bespoke small petrol tank allowing the LPG tank to be in the space normally occupied by the petrol tank. I also added 2 x sill tanks and from memory I could carry 160 litres of LPG. It all worked well, great company, I did my conversion on their premises using their ramps etc.
It may be worth giving them a call and see what they have for L322. BMW i3 Electric Car

I think I have a 105 litre doughnut tank in mine, filling to approx 70 litres.

Hi,
in order to get the maximum room for the donut you have to withdraw the 2 bottom brackets that held the suspension compressor (by drilling out the weld points). This done you gain approx. half an inch that allows you to put a donut 270 mm high (and I think 720 mm of diameter), the top of the tank will just abut on the boot floor. The gross capacity of this tank is 89 litters which allows you to fill in between 75 to 80 l of lpg depending how horizontal the ground of the gas station is.
Now what to do with the compressor? The best is to relocate it in the small cavity where the towing hitch is stored, this gives a neat solution where the boot is fully free. Current:
- L322 2006 S/C lpg
- RRC 1988 lpg / 287 000 miles
- Stage one 1981
- Lightweight 1976
- 109 SW 1968 under rebuilt

Gone: none
