New GPS Antenna

Morning.

I've recently had a problem with my GPS not working - the red line through the GPS symbol on the sat nav screen.

Anyway, I replaced the shark fin aerial yesterday with a genuine new one. The GPS now works fine but the new antenna had an additional connector.

The old one only had a blue plug. The new one had a blue and a maroon plug. What's that for? Did use it obviously.

According to the Wiki on this, the maroon plug is for TMC.

It's a while ago I did mine and I don't remember what I did with the maroon plug. I do have TMC so maybe there's a socket on the Nav unit. Mine is touch screen unit from 2006 MY. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

I thought my car had TMC but I'm not sure. It has a little 'TMC' symbol on the top left of the sat nav screen.

Not sure about GSM.

I've just left the maroon plug loose for now. Hardest part of this job was refitting the internal trim to the D Pillars.
