Should compete well with Rolls Royce Ghost, S Class & Bentley.

The buyers in that class do not really care about the money IMHO. Its image and exclusivity that counts. LR can charge what they like. |

The market these are aimed at will be multi-millionaires who get chauffeur driven. It will be the equivalent of me buying a brand new VW Fox, cheap as chips but with the luxury of a Rolls or Bentley. Shame thought that they will be "wasted" and not used as they're designed to. |

At only 500 units though you have to wonder if they will get back the investment made in developing it.. or if its just a loss leader to ramp up the spec of the FFRR and ultimately the price and leave the Sport to take up the middle ground. Hope not. 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS Previous Landrover products -1990 110 TDI CSW, 2003 TD6 Vogue - RRC TD Vogue, RRC v8 Fleetline, Disco ES V8 LPG, 101 Ambulance "Morph", 1964 SIIa Auto Powered by Jag 4.2 Lump - "Percy". |

Or could it be a "run-out" special to shift a few more cars before the next generation FFRR? 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

Seems obvious to me that the next Range Rover will be better and more expensive, with the sport going upmarket to fill the space. Maybe this is to test the market? You can easily spend over 100k on an S class merc now! The Range Rover is lacking certain features that other luxury cars have, as it is effectively an updated old (but very good) design. Many luxury cars can now have massage seats etc... and it's not even an option on the FFRR as far as I know. The way forwards is upwards. And isn't the next Sport going to share the new Range Rover platform rather than the Disco one next time ? Sure I read that somewhere... |

Interesting... people who have a massage as I understand it have on on a hard bench.. maybe that says something about the seats in the other brands

Posibly me or clever photography but there looks to be loads more rear room in that than in mine.! Maybe the seats go back further giving a smaller boot. Although mines a 2004 I don't think the size changed a great deal on newer models did it..? Ash

My dealer principal said that Land Rover did not sell a single one! I expect the next model to cost from £80k for a vogue to £120 for an Autobiography. *Gone* Discovery3 HSE *Gone* Discovery3 HSE *Gone* MY10 RangeRover TDV8 Freelander for OH MY11 Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Black |

The holland and holland is a modified FFRR, not factory standard. So it doesn't really count.

Funny you mention that. I was standing outside in canary wharf a couple of weeks ago, getting some "fresh air" (whilst having a cig ) and an Electric FFRR went past. Something sign written down the side but only caught the words "Zero Emmision....."
