Possibly a sticking EPB cable or actuator. Probably a bit slow to release. Recall having something similar on the 3.6 once then never again, bit of spray lube on the actuator might help if you can find it. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Hi thanks for the reply - would that also explain the brake pedal going soft, whilst the handbrake light was flashing, because that was what worried me the most? |

Probably not, though if the pedal was pressed before starting the car it would firm up, then when started the servo would kick in causing the pedal to drop a bit. Not something you would notice normally but if you were thinking brakes at the time it would possibly catch you attention.

Mine did this one morning too - the first cold morning we've had. The manual is no use. I should have checked with my IID *BUT* later that day I left the FBH running and it flattened the battery which of course gave me about 9 trillion DTC's Land Rover Addict
