Infra Red Keys

My L322 has the infrared BMW locking system because it was originally supplied to Japan, where for some reason the usual wireless keys are/were not allowed.

I have only one key with the IR. The other is a third party which has the engine immobiliser chip only and cannot remote unlock.

Has anyone any experience of obtaining a replacement IR key?
