[Wanted] L322 4.4TDV8, or any L405 subject to budget

Hi

I'm actively seeking an L322 4.4 TDV8 and have cash waiting for the right example - my outline requirements are:

Mileage, up to 100K (would consider just over that if condition is A1).
Vogue SE, Westminster or Autobiography.
Open to most exterior colours.
Light colour interior - ivory or similar preferred - must be excellent.

Full LR or specialist history, with underpinning documentation.
No faults (mechanically or electrically) and must be accident free.
Bodywork must be excellent.

Nice to haves are - adaptive cruise and deployable sidesteps. Evidence of preventative maintenance and caring 'enthusiast ownership' would be valued - e.g. known faults addressed etc.

I would love an L405, but my absolute limit is £30k, so any L405's in that territory (regardless of colors interior/exterior) please let me know what you have.

Prepared to travel anywhere in mainland UK for the right car. I can offer a quick straightforward sale - I'm a genuine private buyer.

Feel free to PM me.

Many thanks

Hi, feel free to ignore but I'm probably going to be selling my 2011 5L V8 petrol (Autobiography) in the next few weeks. Appreciate it wasn't the engine you were after but thought it may be of interest given the current media/government's stance on "Diesel is the Devil"!

Let me know if it may be of interest, 52,000 miles, 12 months MOT and 12 months official LR warranty remaining.
Good luck with the RR hunting otherwise.

Thanks for awareness. I will try to find a 4.4, but if you want to PM me with likely asking price I could contemplate.
Thanks again.

Quick update to say that I've bought an L322 Westminster from Guy Salmon Land Rover in Bristol. It's Orkney Grey with Ivory interior.
I'm grateful for those that have contacted me, and I look forward to staying in touch through the forum.

Hi,

I'm in almost identical position to you, looking for a L322, but a little bit lower mileage preferably.

Any advice on where to look?

You seemed to find a car at a LR garage, but I can't see any on the user LR website - how did you find this? Just trawling LR local garage websites?

Any help gratefully received!

Anyone else who has a source for L322s, then please let me know.

Thanks, Toby.

Toby,

Look in the for sales section on this forum -- some really nice examples there at the moment.

Hi Toby,

If you are looking to have a manufacturer approved L322 at a LR dealer I don't think that you will find one as the L322 is to old now, best case will be Franchise approved from a LR dealer.
During my search a few years ago I understood that the a franchise approved was just a way to ask more money. At the end you don't receive any warranty from LR directly, just a dealer warranty insurance in best case.
If you are looking for one with a LR warranty it's better to buy one privately with the transferable extended LR warranty.
I don't think that a trader can transfer this warranty.

I have put mine on the market for £21.000 as I will upgrade to an L405 4.4 SDV8 AB.
details can be found at http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic48999.html in the for sale section.

LR Approved L322 are out there, but very thin on the ground. Look on Autotrader. I've just bought one and collect tomorrow.
For example, the last time I looked there was one at Lloyd Land Rover Carlisle...

Yes there are Franchise approved not manufacterer approved.
There should be a big difference between the 2 approved warranties. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

My warranty details came through, it comes with a Land Rover warranty that is extendable and transferable, the claim liability is unlimited up to the purchase price and comes with MOT warranty and Land Rover Roadside Assistance.

Hope that helps.

Not suggesting this is the top level of cover, but just starting the facts of my own purchase. It does look pretty good to me.

Hey Lavazza,

That sounds like a Manufacturer Approved warranty.
You are right this is the best cover you can get.

What I would add is that it was advertised with only a 6 month warranty, but I negotiated a full year.
In truth, it's a better level of cover than I expected to get, but I now have it in 'black and white' in my name from Land Rover with policy booklet.
Anyway, tomorrow will be the first time I physically see the car, but hope to post a positive report of my experience when I've collected and driven the 250 miles back home! It's going to be a very long day to travel down there and back, but I'm pretty excited about it.

By the way Volkan, your car looks really lovely, it will be a good buy for somebody for sure.
