I asked for recommendations for a good independent to carry out the oil drain mod on my L322 4.4 TDV8. Green Oval Garage was one recommended and whilst I havent got my car back yet I have to say their service, response and attitude have been brilliant so far. I get my car back tomorrow but they have kept me updated as they said they would and I feel 100% confident in the work theyre doing and the advice theyve given

Turbo Oil Drain Mod
Diff's and Transfer Box oils changed

If you report any improvement in DPF soot level problems, I am thinking I will ask them for a quote to change my sensor.

I presume you have not got the PO 40 D EGR faulty sensor problem, but it might be worth checking your Fault codes once the drain mod work is finished.

It might be a complete coincidence, but I first noticed mine soon after the drain mod work was done., but by that time I was out of warranty.

I'll keep an eye out, what sort of conditions trigger the fault?

It is on permanently when the sensor fails, and does not clear when you delete/ faults.

The only fault Ive had (twice now) has been:-

• P0438-00 (27) Catalyst temperature sensor - circuit high (bank 2, sensor circuit 1)
( on 23-08-2018 10:04:52 at 200090 km )

I'll keep an eye on further developments, not quite sure on the one above yet.

Well I picked up old fatty today, brilliant job done by Green Oval, great advice and service. I had the opportunity to spend 20 miles in stop start traffic (M62) and then finally to get the revs above 2500 rpm - No Smoke !

If any of you want this job done, main dealer quote £2500 + VAT Green Oval £900+VAT = No brainer. BMW i3 Electric Car

Driven down to Bath today, a mix of windy roads to start with followed by motorway. No smoke at all despite my best efforts to make it smoke, I'm absolutely delighted, the drain mod works guys and Green Oval are fantastic. BMW i3 Electric Car
