I learned today that the 2.0ltr turbo won't be available at the launch and possibly not until 12 months after launch - personnaly I think the turbo petrol will be the motor to have in the Coupe in Dynamic trim, pity as I'm think that for the relatively low miles a year I do and that as it's a light car, the petrol engine would be the engine for me - I don't believe there will be much of a depreciation penalty for having the extra performance for the sportier models

It's launched in May and I have been told, and sales start in September 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

Don't know about Friday cars, LR have taken on an extra 1500 staff at Halewood to cope with the anticipated demand - somebody will end up with a car built by trainees.................... 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

I've just joined (some of) you on the Evoque site...

Could fit me well being smaller than the FFRR.
Although not sure I'd want one of the first ones. I'd like Land Rover to get used to building them correctly before I got one. Hopefully they'll learn from the past in tha respect.

Fox , I'm sure everybody at Halewood is getting plenty of practise right now building up enough stock for launch day, but I tend to agree with you I was always told never to buy a new model in the first year of production - never listened either and have only ever had silly little problems (apart from my 1st RRS having no FBH when it left the production line) I found out later through the forum that my car was built 3 months before the UK launch of RRS so must have been one of the early test build cars. That was the only fault it had and it was really well put together. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

While I may agree Tim that time has moved on, due to Land Rover's reputation of ensuring at least one issue with most new models I'd rather not take the chance.
It'd very quickly kill the enjoyment on a large financial outlay to be in the dealership regularly. In fact it would probably be the last LR/RR I ever had if that happened as our normal cars never have any isses at all for years and years.

I'd also like the drive the thing first to see if it justifies buying new. Thumbs Up

Oh, and the RRS was not a new model. It's a Disco 3. Wink
So they had a headstart on that one.

The Global sales brochure has recently been posted on BabyRR.com, showing a 4th level of trim - Dynamic Plus, also shows some of what looks like thousands of interior combinations that appear to be available and also the different body/roof colour options.
