Many thanks Jase, think I'll change my Pixel back for an iPhone as the Pixel really isn't that great in the car. |

Thanks iani, any ideas how I get it to show as my phone rather than the MAC address? |

Could be simply poor pairing, or Apples attempt to randomise MAC addresses of Bluetooth and wifi Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I'm not a phone fashionista and still have the Iphone 6 but I get the "no contacts/Recent call" issue now and then. I just forget the phone and re-pair it and it comes back again. You are enabling contacts to be uploaded on your phone under the Bluetooth settings on your phone I assume? |

You exchanged a Pixel phone for a iphone , wow & why . Pixel 2 & now 3 are some of the best phones available and rival the top of the range from Samsung & LG . |

I love my Pixel 2 - especially now it's running Android Pie. The ability to pair with up to 5 bluetooth devices simultaneously is awesome. I have my Garmin tracker, LR hands free and in car bluetooth streaming all running at once with no issues |
