The problem with gaps in the mot in my opinion is that it isn't being used and these need to be used if left standing in my experience all sorts of things start going wrong - usually the niggly electric bits

My Touareg and my Sprinter both endured this kind of lifestyle for a good many years with no ill effects. The sprinter stood on my drive 14 months unused, battery on charge. I went to start it after all that time to sell it, it started 1st time and drove perfectly. I did take some precautions, a light mist of WD40 on brake disks for example and then a good spray with brake cleaner before driving off but there were no problems. BMW i3 Electric Car

Evans Halshaw - one word - AVOID. Warranty is not worth the paper it is written on and woe betide you if there are any problems which existed prior to delivery (i.e. obvious things which should have been picked up in the PDI).

BAD DEALERS.

you get 3 months warranty by law under the consumer act of 2015 pal so I don't think he should worry about whos selling the car and besides I bought my last merc from the same dealer and they still honoured an original fault under warranty 4 months after I fist raised it with them
